We are officially halfway through our 64-day construction blitz in Cheltenham and Mentone. We re-opened Balcombe Road in the early hours of Tuesday 23 June and travelling through the area is now safer and easier for the local community. Our biggest level crossing removal construction blitz started on Saturday night, and boom gates at Park and Charman roads were removed on Sunday morning. The Balcombe Road boom gates were removed the previous week when the road closed, meaning Mentone and Cheltenham are now boom gate free.
