- The bluestone bricks from the old Mentone heritage gardens have been salvaged and repurposed in the new Mentone heritage gardens including being used for the footpath kerbs in the new gardens.
- Red bricks from the old Mentone Station precinct have been repurposed for the heritage deck area along with new bluestone tiles.
- In the coming months works will include landscaping, lighting installation, and refurbishing the old station buildings.
