The Big in Black motto is all about “Confident Occasions” including Designs by Clotaire. Our focus is on being Size-Inclusive, dressing ALL women for their special events, and specialising in the often overlooked area of Plus-Size designs, making Big in Black the one-stop destination store for sizes 6 to 34+. Big in Black was founded in Dandenong on the passion and insight of Victoria and her husband Clotaire. Starting with Designs by Clotaire, then launching our own Big in Black label in 2000, the business soon grew to include other on trend labels, and became renowned as a wonderland for women with a fuller figure. Our name became well known locally, with that recognition soon spreading to interstate and overseas clients. For over 18 years now we have dressed women of all ages and sizes for their special occasions, building our reputation of warmly welcoming all, providing great service, and supplying quality designs. With the sad passing of the lovely Victoria in 2016, we aim to honour and continue our legacy to make women of all shapes and sizes feel wonderful, proud and confident!
