Sunbeam cakes has been an institution for Mentone locals for over 65 years. First established in 1945 by pastry cook Joyce Clements, Sunbeam has since been owned by several pastry chefs and bakers, each passing on their own unique recipes and traditional baking techniques to their predecessors.
Currently owned and run by master baker & pastry cook Holger Schinz alongside chocolatier and pastry chef Scott Gilchrist, the Sunbeam team continues to update their skills and produce quality handmade cakes and pastries.Sunbeam has received many national baking awards and was voted “best cake shop” by their loyal customers.
